DPA Microphones, Gotham Sound, Trew Audio - Mostly useful for keeping up with new equipment; product reviews are diverse but not extremely deep. It’s not often, but when they host events or conduct interviews with working pros, they ask the right questions.

VideoMantis - Boots on the ground practical workshops on the craft of Production Sound. Excellent classes on Wiring Talent, Boom Operating, and Sound Mixing in general.

Post Production Sound & Music

Dan Worrall, Fabfilter - Both channels are hosted by the same person. Dan’s videos manage to convey a very high level of technical detail in an easy-to-understand and concise package. His focus is on the tools used in mixing, so the knowledge is applicable to both Film/TV and Music.

Paul Maunder, Thomas Boykin - Excellent instruction for dialogue editing and mixing for Film & TV post.

Cinematography & Lighting

MZed - Some of the best money you’ll ever spend on a filmmaking career. MZed is Masterclass for technical skills. Taught by actual industry professionals, the classes are full of straightforward information on how to get things done, not just how to dream. I highly recommend Shane Hurlbut’s cinematography courses, and Tom Cross’s (Whiplash, La La Land, No Time to Die) editing course. CinemaSound is decent for fundamentals, but doesn’t really cover industry standard gear & techniques.

Filmmaker’s Academy - Similar to MZed, this is a paid platform run by Shane Hurlbut, and it goes in depth on the technical skills you need to work on a film set.

Luke Seerveld - Meet the Gaffer, Gaffer and Gear - Two excellent YouTube channels run by Luke Seerveld and Andrew Lock, respectively. They talk extensively about the equipment and skills you need in order to light well, and have excellent reviews of the lights themselves.
